Town N Country is proud to recognize Emily Littlejohn as our 2025 Employee of the Year! Emily’s dedication, compassion, and passion for patient care have made her an invaluable part of our team. This award reflects the impact she has on our clients, patients, and staff every single day.
Emily joined Town N Country four years ago and has grown into a trusted member of our team. Right now she serves as an Exam Room Nurse and is in the process of training as a Bed Assistant. This transition will allow her to expand her skills by assisting with procedures such as administering vaccines and drawing blood.
We asked Emily about her favorite part of the job, and her answer was quick – it is the relationships she builds with both pets and their families. She loves the way she can help animals feel safe and understood, especially through compassionate, Fear Free care. She believes strongly in meeting each patient where they are and never pushing them beyond their comfort level. That commitment shows in the calm, gentle way she approaches every appointment.
Over her years at TNC, Emily has developed confidence in talking with clients. She described herself as shy when she first started, but her role has helped her become more personable and comfortable communicating. She also appreciates how deeply the staff cares for patients and their families. The genuine compassion within our Town N Country team is one of the things that makes us stand out from other practices.
Outside of work, Emily enjoys creating art, especially pet portraits. At home, she shares life with her one‑year‑old German shepherd, Stella, and her bearded dragon, Draco. Draco was originally thought to be male until Emily learned how to check for hemipenes. She laughs when she told us, “It’s hard to tell the difference!”
