Sharon King

Veterinarian

Dr. Sharon King joined Town N Country Animal Hospital in 2000.  A ’98 graduate of NC State College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. King’s primary interest is in small animal internal medicine with specific emphasis in geriatric care and ophthalmology.  Dr. King shares her family with a golden retriever, Bella, and rough collie, Cayde. Dr. King spends her time away from work being a wife and a mom. She and her husband, Marcus, keep up with three active, competitive boys on the cross country trails, basketball court, and baseball field.  Her goal is to provide the community of Alamance County with high quality care that is specific and customized to the individual needs of the pet and pet family.

Joy Bolynn

Veterinarian

Dr. Joy Bolynn has been a veterinarian at Town N Country since 2007. A graduate of Meredith College and North Carolina State University, she’s particularly interested in surgery, anesthesia, nutrition and pain management. When one of her own pets didn’t respond well to western medicine, she began ongoing study of integrative medicine that incorporates Food Therapy, Acupuncture, Western and Traditional Chinese Herbal Therapy. Dr. Bolynn’s family includes her husband Mike, a young daughter and son, and her dogs Carter, Finley and Stanley. When not at work, Joy loves spending time with her family, frequently taking in outdoor activities. “Miss Joy” also volunteers her time as the Treehouse coordinator at Trinity Worship Center and as the 4H Coordinator at Children’s House Montessori. Her hobbies include photography and Krav Maga. (For your own safety, do NOT sneak up on her, okay?)

Morgan Horn

Veterinarian

Dr. Morgan Horn is a native of Alamance County. Dr. Horn graduated from North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2016. Her interests include dermatology, surgery, geriatric pet care, and reproduction. Dr. Horn enjoys spending time with her family and friends, horseback riding, and travelling to the coast. She currently resides in Alamance County with her husband Cody, son Parker and their two Labrador Retrievers, Drake and Bailey.

Practice Manager

Rebecca May is our Practice Manager. She has an undergraduate certificate in Veterinary Practice Management from Penn Foster and is currently studying Business Administration. Rebecca is a Cub Scout Leader and serves as STEM Coordinator for the Old North State Council. Rebecca is a member of the Veterinary Hospital Managers Association, the Triad Hospital Managers Group and the Veterinary Managers Group of the Carolinas. Rebecca is also a member of the Society for Veterinary Medical Ethics, the Human-Animal Bond Association and is a Level III Fear Free Certified Professional. Rebecca has written content for CattleDog Publishing, Uncharted Veterinary Conference, and Aspire Vet. Her interests are client communication, leadership, Fear Free medicine, and canine and feline enrichment. Rebecca lives in Guilford County with her husband Brandon, sons Jake and Grant, and her dog Beans who serves as a blood donor at NC State.

Ann is one of our dedicated Veterinary Technicians. She has bred Rough and Smooth Collies through her business, Sweet Gum Collies for ten years. Ann is a member of Bred with H.E.A.R.T. through the American Kennel Club. Ann has a background in farming and currently lives on a beef cattle farm. Ann’s interests are reproductive medicine and genetic health screening.

Christina has worked in the field as a Veterinary Technician for a total 22 years. She has been a part of the Town N Country family for the last 15 years. Christina has a Bachelors in Science Degree in Biology from UNCG. Her areas of interest include radiology, surgery and laboratory technology. She enjoys spending quality time with her husband and three children.

Senior Exam Room Nurse

Melissa has been with Town N Country Animal Hospital for six years. Melissa is our Senior Exam Room Nurse. Melissa works with our clients to ensure their pets receive premium care, while using her skills as a Fear Free Certified Professional to keep our patients are comfortable during their visits to the hospital. Melissa works closely with our Veterinarians and other Exam Room Nurses to ensure that our protocols are current and best support the Human-Animal Bond. Melissa has always loved animals but since working in veterinary medicine has developed a better understanding of how our pets improve our quality of life. She has a passion for assisting in the preventative care, diagnostics, and treatment of our patients.

Diana has worked for Town N Country Animal Hospital since 2003. Diana is a Fear Free Certified Professional. Diana enjoys decorating, travel, coffee, reading, auctions and science fiction films. Diana is an avid supporter of Sparkle Cat Rescue and sponsors one kitten a year for healthcare, including spay/ neuter. Diana has her own cattery at home and lives with her cats Phoebe Bebe, Josie Monster, Mr. Gray, and Ginger Chickpea.

Exam Room Nurse

Kiersten has worked with Town N Country Animal Hospital as an Exam Room Nurse since May of 2019. Kiersten is a Fear Free Certified Professional and working with animals has been her passion ever since she was old enough to talk. Working for Town N Country has brought her great happiness and even brought a special dog named Zoey into her life. She has a five year old daughter named Annalise whose love for animals matches if not exceeds Kiersten’s. Kiersten plans to go back to school to continue her education in the animal medical care field.

Kennel Technician

Amanda has been an employee at Town N Country since 2013, first as a kennel assistant and now as a technician. She received her Bachelor of Science from the college of William and Mary in 2011 and her Master of Arts from Liberty University in 2012. She is a Fear Free Certified Professional and has a particular interest in wound management and laboratory diagnostics (e.g., phlebotomy and microscopy). Amanda enjoys spending her spare time with family and friends, watching movies and being outdoors in nature. She currently resides in Graham, N.C. with her husband Tran, and her “fatty ratties” (pet rats).

Erika is a native of Burlington, N.C. She has three daughters and one son. Erika is a Fear Free Certified Professional and has worked in the treatment department as a technician and as a receptionist in her many years with Town N Country. In her spare time she likes to read, listen to music and travel with her children and fiance.

Nancy Cooper

Inventory Manager

Nancy Cooper has lived her entire life in North Carolina, moving to Burlington in 2000. Her earlier career was sales and marketing management in the Convenience Store Industry with companies including Fast Fare, The Pantry (now Kangaroo), Convenience USA and Huffman Oil Company. Fourteen years ago, Nancy joined our Town N Country team as a receptionist. She now serves as our Inventory Manager working with our many product lines and distributors to ensure that we are best able to serve our patients and clients. Nancy loves all kinds of animals, dogs and cats but has a true love for Chihuahuas! She truly enjoys working with all her coworkers and our diverse client base. After this many years, she has become close with many of them. Nancy is also an avid tournament golfer. She played for the UNC Chapel Hill golf team. Now nancy is a very active Senior golfer, President of the Bryan Park Women’s Golf Association, and a member of the WPGA and the Carolina Golf Association among others.

Receptionist

Callie grew up in Chapel Hill and moved to the Gibsonville area about 3 years ago and has been working as a receptionist for six years in total, two with Town N Country Animal Hospital. Callie enjoys baking, painting and horseback riding. She has two rescue dogs, Harlan, a 9 year old Bulldog Mix and Josie, an 8 year old Beagle Mix. When not working, Callie enjoys spending time with her Nephew.

Senior Technician

Kym is our Senior Technician and has worked for Town N Country for 18 years. She is a Fear Free Certified Professional and has a special interest in dental cleaning, dental radiology, preparation and sterilization of surgical instruments and acquiring blood samples. Kym has taken many hours of continuing education focused on dentistry and surgical anesthesia. Kym lives with her two dogs Gary (11) and Darcy (11), and her cat Suriyel (9).
