Dr. Hicks, deeply passionate about veterinary medicine, is dedicated to giving back to those who have served our country. Her husband, SFC Zachary Hicks, has proudly served 11.5 years in the Army National Guard, completing two tours in Kuwait and Cuba. Currently, he works in Domestic Operations at Joint Force Headquarters, aiding hurricane relief efforts in Western NC.
With a family legacy of service—her father, a retired Air National Guard member, has three tours in Iraq and holds a Purple Heart, Meritorious Service Medal, and Bronze Star with valor—Dr. Hicks is honored to support our veterans and their furry companions.

The fine print:
- Proof of military ID required day of appointment
- Wellness exam only – any sick issues may be rescheduled at the doctor’s discretion
- Limit 2 patients per client
- Scheduled appointment required – Appointment times are limited and availability is only on Monday, November 11, 2024.
- Pets may not have high Fear/Anxiety/Stress – FAS 3 or lower in the medical record
- Examination is free, any additional requests (vaccines, preventatives, etc) will be at the owner’s expense
