AAHA Accredited The Standard of Veterinary ExcellenceYou’ve seen the letters on our webpage: AAHA. They stand for The American Animal Hospital Association, an international association that focuses on promoting high quality standards for the practice of veterinary medicine. Membership in AAHA is open to any veterinary practice, but accreditation must be earned by having an rigorous evaluation and on site examination. To be accredited, a hospital must meet over 900 standards in areas like pain management, infectious disease control, anesthesia, and client communication.

Believe it or not, although they must have state inspections, animal hospitals do not have to be accredited. Only 12 – 15% of animal hospitals have AAHA accreditation, which must be renewed every three years.

Town N Country is proud to have been AAHA accredited since 1990. Being accredited is just one of the ways that we show our commitment to provide you and your pet with the very best care that we can offer.
