The last week in April is Veterinary Receptionist week, a time to honor those heroes who keep our hospital running like well-oiled machines. Whether you call or come in, they’re usually the first person to speak to you – and your pet. They’re receptionists, yes, but that’s not all…

Jugglers Extraordinaire. Phones ringing, clients checking in, appointments rescheduling, and a cat trying to escape—it’s all in a day’s work. Our receptionists juggle more tasks than a circus performer. And they do it with grace. (Okay, maybe not the cat-catching part. That’s more of a team effort.)

The First Line of Furry Defense. When the phone rings, there is often a worried pet parent on the other end, seeking guidance. Our multitasking team are there to answer – wise, patient, and ready to help and direct.

Triage Masters. Did you know that our receptionists are secret agents of triage? When you call, they’re not just jotting down your appointment time. They’re assessing the urgency of your situation. Is it a mild case of the sniffles or a full-blown petpocalypse? They’ve got their mental flowcharts ready, and will let you know if you need to go to urgent care, or to an emergency clinic.

Heart and Soul. Behind those desks, our receptionists hold the clinic together. They’re the glue that binds our furry family. They celebrate the joy of new puppies and comfort us during tough goodbyes. They know the names of our pets, their quirks, and their favorite treats. They’re not just receptionists; they’re honorary aunts and uncles to our fur kids.

So, to our receptionist team, this one’s for you. You’re a big reason our clinic feels like home. We appreciate you more than a dog loves belly rubs, more than a cat rules the home, and more than you’ll ever know.
