There are a lot of things to like about Town N Country. We’re a local business with a dedicated staff, many of whom have been with us for a very long time. That means that you get the benefits of years and years of experience in the field of veterinary medicine. It also means we have time to get to know you and your pet.

Years With Us. You may not know that our practice began back in the 70’s by Dr. Dave Peterson. As he approached retirement, Dr. Peterson began looking for an individual with roots in the community who would offer personal – not corporate – service. Dr. King had always wanted to own a practice. She wanted a place where she could put down roots and get to know clients on a one on one basis. She also wanted to establish a place of employment where people could earn a living for their families and be a blessing for their lives. It was a great match.

In 2000, Dr. Peterson brought Dr. King on board to learn the practice and the patients. She’s been serving families and pets in our community every since.

Believe it or not, Dr. King isn’t the longest serving staff member at TNC. Doll started with us in 1992 in our first little hospital, the small building beside the main hospital.

Dr. Bolynn has been with us since 2007, and Nancy, Diana, Christina, and Brandace were here before she was. Dr. Horn started with us in 2010 as a nurse while she was in college, and came back to us as a veterinarian in 2018. That’s a lot of years of experience. Speaking of experience, our vet technicians have been here for a combined 66 years. Even our office manager Diana started out as a nurse on our staff – back in 2003!

Of course we also enjoy the fresh enthusiasm and the cutting edge learning of our new staff, our interns, and our part time employees who are working and going to school at the same time. We’re planning on keeping these amazing folks around as long as possible!

Years With You. When we see your pet visit after visit, year after year, we are able to form relationships with them. Our head nurse Melissa remembers which dogs like to be held on the ottoman in their owner’s arms, and which need a tennis ball. She knows that one of our kitty patients prefers to sit on the window seat watching birds as opposed to getting treats. All three of our nurses know these things about your pets – like which ones are so distracted in the courtyard that they barely notice they’re having their nails trimmed.

Our kennel staff has very little turnover. This team really knows and cares for each of the patients they have in their care. For their regulars (and you know who you are!), they form such sweet relationships. We happen to know that some of them have pictures of your pets on their phone – they love them that much!

Years to Come. From the smiling faces at the reception to the playful love of our kennel crew, we at Town N Country love working with you. We want to be there for you and your pets throughout their lives. We want to say hello to new puppies and kittens, and we want to be there when it’s time to say goodbye. We don’t want to miss those milestones.

We look forward to your visits, and to keeping your pet healthy and happy for years and years to come.
