When you walk through the doors at Town N Country, one of the first smiles you’re likely to see belongs to Lee Pinson. Lee has spent almost her entire life caring for animals and the people who love them. Lee joined TNC as a receptionist in May of last year, but her journey in veterinary care began long before that. She became a vet nurse at just 18, then a groomer at 22, and spent the next 16 years building relationships with pets and their families.
When her doctor told her that grooming was taking too much of a toll on her back, she knew she wasn’t ready to leave the industry she loved. She wanted to stay connected to her clients, stay close to the animals, and stay in the world that felt like home. So she found her place here at TNC. We’re so very glad she did.
This year, Lee was honored with the Exceeding Expectations Award, and it’s easy to see why. For Lee, exceeding expectations isn’t about doing more tasks; it’s about caring more deeply. It means noticing what clients are feeling, understanding what they need, and putting her whole heart into helping them. Sometimes that looks like navigating complicated situations. Sometimes it’s simply listening. And sometimes it’s making sure someone feels seen on a hard day.
Lee believes she received this award because she genuinely loves connecting with people and finding solutions that make their lives easier. Her mom raised her on the quote, “We are all just walking each other home,” and she carries that reminder into every interaction.
As a mother of three boys, Lee jokingly calls herself a Professional Problem Solver. Her sons have taught her that a little extra love and effort can change the trajectory of someone’s entire day and make it better. She brings that same mindset to her work at TNC. Some of her most meaningful moments have been when clients thank her not just for hearing them, but for truly listening.
In her own words, “When I make that connection, build that rapport, and we’re able to really reach each other…that’s when I am reminded of why I chose client care.”
Lee is excited to grow at TNC and loves being part of a practice full of strong, compassionate women. She even jokes with Dr. Bolynn that one day the counters will need to be raised so her wheelchair can fit underneath when she’s still here at age 90.
As you know, every great TNC story includes a few furry (and feathered) friends, and Lee’s story is no exception. Lee shares her home with 21 pets, including chickens, dogs, and cats. She also has three sons, and a very patient husband.
We’re proud to celebrate Lee Pinson, grateful for the heart she brings to our front desk, and honored to have her as part of the TNC family.
