We are making changes that will allow us to stay within CDC guidelines, increase efficiency and best meet the needs of our clients. We are confident that these changes to the flow of our business will allow us to continue to care for your pets to the best of our ability while protecting the safety of our staff and clients.

We are unable to accommodate any walk in appointments at this time.  Please call to schedule your visit.

When you arrive at the hospital, please call us at (336) 227-9979 or send a text to (336) 536-6655 to inform the staff that you are outside.

Scheduled Exam Appointments

Would you prefer to come in for your pet’s exam or stay in your car to limit your exposure to the public? You can now select the option that best meets your needs by filling out a pre-appointment questionnaire. Questionnaires are sent via email and must be filled out prior to your appointment.

PREFER TO COME INSIDE FOR YOUR PET’S EXAM?

If you choose to come into the hospital for your pet’s exam, you must provide and wear your own mask if you select this option. Any diagnostics, imaging and vaccinations will be performed prior to the exam. When we receive your call or text, we will connect you to a staff member that will check you in over the phone. After check in, you will be asked to bring your pet to the door on the left side of our building. A staff member will unlock the door for you.

Please wait to enter until the staff member has stepped out of the vestibule. When you enter, carefully leave your pet in the kennel provided. For cats and small dogs in carriers, you may place your own carrier onto the floor. Then step out of the front door to our parking lot. Please hold the front door shut and wait for our staff member to come in and secure your pet. When the doctor is ready for you, a receptionist will call to let you know which exam room to go to.

Once you have spoken with the doctor, we ask that you return to the car with your pet. Our receptionists will then call for payment by phone and will email you your receipt.   If you elect to come inside, please sit in the chairs provided to maintain safe distance from our veterinarians and support staff. This is for your safety and ours.

STAYING IN YOUR CAR?

If you opt to stay in your car, we can call you by phone or provide you with live feed through TeleVetWhen we receive your call or text, we will connect you to a staff member that will check you in over the phone. FOOD AND MEDICINE PICKUP?

We ask that you call before coming to the office for any medication refills or food. Anticipating your needs and arrival time, will ensure that your medication is ready to be picked up.

TELEVET

If you are choosing to stay at home, you can schedule a telemedicine visit. TeleVet consults can be done for issues such as allergies/ dermatology, coughing, sneezing, diabetic care and management, external parasites (fleas, mites, ticks, etc), gastrointestinal upsets, hospice care, medical progress exams, behavioral concerns, suture checks, nutritional concerns, arthritis and pain management. The NC Veterinary Medical Board states that telemedicine consults may only be done for established clients, when their pet has had an in person exam within the last year. If you meet this requirement, TeleVet is an easy and convenient way to access care.

If it’s your first time using Televet, it’s as easy as 1, 2, 3.

  1. Download TeleVet here, enter 27215 for your zip code and search for Town N Country Animal Hospital.
  2. You will set up a brief profile for your pet and submit a request for a consultation.
  3. Enter the code HomeCare for 10% off the usual price. This will allow you to consult with us from the comfort of your home for the cost of a regular visit.DOWNLOAD TELEVET
